2010 ACHS Athletic Booster Club Volunteer Positions Available

The following Booster Club volunteer positions are available. The generous volunteers who fill these positions are the people who make our athletic fundraising and support successful.

By volunteering for any of the various Booster Club positions available, and signing up for eScrip, you automatically become a member of the Booster Club. To become a Booster Club member, please go to www.camarillohighschoolsports.com and click on the Membership Form section of the Booster menu and fill out the electronic form.

Board Positions

President (Dave Benson) - Provides direction, leadership, and overall vision.  Leads the Executive Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Controller, Member-at-Large, Communications Secretary, and Sport Representative Counselor positions.

Executive Vice President (Bill Wismann) – Assumes the duties of the President as necessary. Leads the Fundraising VP and Special Events VP.

Marketing Vice President  – Coordinates all marketing and media communications and leads the Web Site, Freshman Night, and Parent Handbook.

Fundraising Vice President (Lisa Fisco Stein) - Coordinates fundraising activities and leads Committee Chairpersons for Billboards, Banners, Concessions, Scorpion Club,  and Merchandise.

Special Events Vice President (C. Janel Sperling) – Coordinates all special events and leads Committee Chairpersons for Golf Tournament, Casino Night, Senior Recognition, and Socials/Barbeques/Events.

Secretary (Carol Chavez) – Takes all of the minutes at each meeting, prepares the agenda for each meeting, manages online calendar of events, sends out letters, acts as historian, manages mass communications, and is responsible for the Awards Night events.

Treasurer  (Beth Alender) — Acts as Chief Financial Officer. Handles all financial matters including, but not limited to, budgets, taxes, audits, deposits, and reports.  Is responsible for Sponsor retention, Sponsor and Booster donations, and for eScrip.  Leads the Committee Chairperson for Fulfillment.

Member-at-Large (Jeff Hahn) – Takes on special projects as requested; acts as advisor to the board. Leads the Committee Chairpersons for Program/Calendar and Program Sales.

Committee Chairpersons

• Controller – Records transactions, prepares reimbursements and disbursements, reconciles accounts, and prepares budget plan versus actual reports. This position must attend Board meetings, but is not a voting member of the Board.
• Communications Secretary - Maintains database of email addresses; coordinates all mailings, mass emails, etc.
• Membership Acquisition and Retention – Acquires new members and works to retain existing members.
• Parent Handbook - Coordinates gathering, copying, and distributing all of the information specific to a sport, so that players and parents are well informed
• Web Site Coordinator (Bill Kling) – Responsible for the web sites and online calendars, and the training of those who will enter content on the web sites.
• Stadium Billboard Coordinator (Jeff Lindquist, asst. Randy & Angela Simon) – Manages the stadium billboard effort by following up on annual renewals, hanging new billboards, and ordering and picking up billboards from vendor.
• Gym Banner Coordinator (Jeff Lindquist, asst. Randy & Angela Simon) - Manages the gym banner effort by following up on annual renewals, hanging new banners, and ordering and picking up banners from vendor.
• Concessions Coordinator (Alice Amerault) – Responsible for managing the overall snack bar including ordering food and inventory, maintaining equipment, meeting health code, and organizing snack bar teams for each home game.
• Fulfillment Coordinator (Pam Valovcin) – Responsible for ensuring that all donors and special program members receive all passes, ads, listings, etc., as required.
• Scorpion Club Coordinator (Bill Meier) - Responsible for managing the Scorpion Club program including parking lot management, seat sales and security, season seat customer service, and identifying seat repair needs.
• Program/Calendar (Jeff Hahn) – Responsible for publication by gathering of ads, team, and school info and pictures for the program and calendar.
• Casino Night – Coordinates all aspects of this major Fall fundraiser.
• eScrip – Coordinates the sign-up of eScrip at every opportunity. Is the first step of all events, including fundraising events.
• Awards & Banquets (Ginger Willson and Lynn Flitt)  – Coordinates the awards and banquet responsibilities with the sports team representatives.
• Freshman Night – Ensures that the ACHS Athletic Booster Club is represented at Freshman Night, including all of the fact sheets, forms, and other written materials to be handed out.
• Golf Tournament (Chris Lythgoe & Brian White) – Coordinates the annual golf tournament and silent auction, which is our major Spring fundraiser.
• Senior Recognition - Coordinates Senior night at a home game and the Senior Book for the team.
